1. September/October (Fall Intake) – This is the main intake for international students for the majority of study programs in France. 

  • If you want to apply, the application for the Fall intake usually opens around late autumn of the previous year (2024) and usually closes in May or June 2025, depending on the university. 
  • For undergraduate and postgraduate studies, it’s best to prepare your documents and application in advance.

2. January/February (Spring Intake) – This intake is less recommended as it offers only a limited selection of specialized courses and runs from January to February.

  • Not all programs offer this intake but if you have missed the fall intake, this option can be considered for specialized courses.
  • It usually takes place the year before, with the process starting in 2024 and typically concluding by October or November of the same year(2024).

Entry Requirements for Studying in France for International Students in 2025

1. Academic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate/Bachelor’s Program – You need verified academic transcripts of past education (high school diploma or its equivalent).
